Hi all,

Happy New Year to everyone! I just sold my Yammie. I bought it when it first came out and has served me very well. Honestly, overkill for my needs at the time but I got a good deal at J&R. Today, I really just wanted an updated receiver with wireless/networking capabilities. My budget is $300-500 max, preferably $400.

With limited research, I'm considering the Pioneer Elite VSX-42. Seems like a good buy but I have to buy the $99 bluetooth adapter in able to stream songs directly to the receiver?!

Also considering the Denon AVR-1613 and Yamaha RXV-473. I believe I can stream songs directly from iPhone correct?

I would greatly appreciate everyone's thoughts before making my selection.

I own the Denon 1613 and it will stream straight to the receiver from an iphone ipad or itunes via air play. I am very happy with the receiver.

also i would recommend the Denon 1713 if you have a second zone of speakers

I'm looking for a something similar also (mid-range receiver with wireless capabilities) but the only receiver with built-in wifi that I have been able to find is the Sony STR-DN1030. All others claim network capabilities but require an Ethernet connection or have you buy their separate wifi dongle accessory or a 3rd party wifi adapter. I'm kind of surprised that in this day and age, wifi still isn't a common feature, nor is bluetooth.
