Denon 1612 turning off when playing 3D blu-ray's

I don't know what is causing this. When watching a regular movie, I have no problems with my Denon 1612 receiver. But, I put in a 3D Blu-ray, it plays for a while, then the Denon shuts off - blinking red light. I turn it back on and it plays fine. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Is the red light blinking every 1/2 second or every 2 seconds? If the former, check your speaker wire connections to ensure there isn't a loose strand from one post touching another post.

Sorry, I've been away and couldn't get to the internet. Yes, I think you were right. I was only watching for about ten minutes and a load explosion turned the Denon off - blinking every 1/2 second. Checked my speaker wire connections and they looked OK on the Denon but a few were touching on the connection on the wall. Played the same scene and no problem.

Thanks!
