I was wanting two pairs of IR rechargeable glasses that won't break me, but now I'm nothing but confused. After an hour of searching, I almost forgot what I was looking for. Which ones do I get?
Sony PS3 glasses work great, they are universal IR and best in class as well as rechargeable for $19.99. i have used them personally on my mitsu and no complaints.

Do they work with the Samsung/Mitsubishi external emitter? And where can you buy them? Thanks.
I really like my X-104's (Youniversals) with my 82742. they are light, rechargable, work with almost any IR emitter, and are well priced. Just note that they run a little bit small so if you have a big head, go with the large or xlarge sizes.
Yes sir they do, I had a samsung C series and still have my Mitsubishi wd73838, Never a hick up, it may also just be that the frame covers the entire lens but they dont seem to dim as much as the samsungs The part # on the Sony glasses is CECH-ZEG1U http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3-3D-Glasses/dp/B00562O8U0 $23.99 at amazon however you can find them cheaper in retail stores, I paid 19.99 for mine at Best Buy. worth every penny.

Thanks' I bought a pair from BB for $20 and they work fine. I now have 6 pair of compatible glasses and 4 pair of incompatible sets requiring different emitters. The PS3 are amazing that they are so low in price as I used to pay $150 for one. I did buy 50 CR2025 batteries for my other sets and this is my first rechargable pair.
