Darbeevision Customer Service - Good Story

In November I sent my Darblet back for the firmware update. I sent it USPS with delivery confirmation. Over the Christmas season with relatives visiting, etc., I didn't pay much attention to the fact that it hadn't been returned. So, I recently contacted them and told them I hadn't received it back. Furthermore, so much time had passed that I couldn't locate the tracking receipt for delivery confirmation. They said they would make it good and they did. Today, a new Darblet showed up on my porch. I don't know if USPS lost my original unit, if DarbeeVision misplaced it, or what happened, but DarbeeVision sent me a new replacement unit when they could have told me to stuff it since I couldn't prove delivery. I was a happy customer before, and I'm even more happy today. Thank you DarbeeVision!

What does the new FW update do for the Darblet?

With my prior firmware the Darblet would only output RGB color space, regardless of the input. With the new firmware when I feed it YCbCr 422 it outputs YCbCr 422 as well. As that is my preferred output, I am happy. There might be some conversion to RGB and back to YCbCr going on within the Darblet (I don't know but have read it somewhere), but the picture quality seems to be the same after the update, i.e., excellent.

I have a totally different service experience with DarbeeVision

I've sent them the damage Darblet by registered post with RMA # on the package back in Dec (I'm in Asia), follow up with a few emails but not even 1 reply from DarbeeVision on the status of the unit!

Very disaapointed, I think my $270 just gone burnt like that and I would not recommend the unit to anyone.

Shoot me an email with details and a copy of your receipt and I will see if I can get this straightened out.
