Which software?

Hi,
Im new here, and im new user of htpc, besides sorry for my english.

I have new pc with i5 cpu and 8gb ram, so i can used each system.
Im using TBS6991 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner Dual CI PCIe Card with nCam module for live tv.

Now i have w8 with wmc. DVB-S card are working fine.

I want get some windows media extender for my second tv, i want to used my divix / mp4 / mkv files, basically all kind of files (movies, music etc), but when im adding folders to my library not all files are there. Besides i dont like design of this files, xbmc looks fine, maybe there exist some app with are looking automatically covers and subtitles?

Maybe its will be better to start using some other os with some other app? But what with drivers for DVB-S card and what with extender for second tv?

yes, im from europe, poland. I heart about Media Portal, but what with live tv and extender?
