Can I send the audio from the smart apps like Netflix OUT to a receiver from a Panasonic ET5?

Is this possible? I know there are a lot of inputs on the set to pipe in sound and video but how about sending audio back out? Using the Netflix and Amazon apps are very convenient, if I get a proper receiver and speakers will I be able to pipe that audio out of the TV or will I be forced to use the set's built in speakers?

If you have a TV and receiver with the ARC feature then you may be able do what you are asking. The caveat is that not all TVs will send multi-channel audio through ARC, but they will at least send 2.0 sound.

As far as I've seen all TV's send multichannel audio out the ARC, but I know for a fact the Panasonics do.
