BTW. that comparison is bad, the Peavy was in a reflective corner and the B&W was not. You need to make sure the playing field is even and what the others said.

I paid $1350 for the B&W, so in that case, I suppose a pair of QSC KW153 would be a fairer price-range comparison speaker.
I'll have to go window shopping at my local Pro Sound retailer, see if I can find me a high-SQ sounding Pro speaker...

And keep in mind, there are pro sound speakers made for pro sound, that extract maximum power handling and SPL (high cross over, playing in the woofer stop band, etc.) and there are hifi speakers that use pro sound components. I could use the drivers and cab from the B&W speakers and make them sound very bad all while increasing effeciency and power handling.
