I'm piecing together our speaker system, and need help selecting a subwoofer. I had been considering the BIC speakers (particularly the F-12, or the PL-200), and the Polk PSW 505. After reading over many reviews and ratings, I think I'm dropping the Polk. The room is 15'x20'x8', with hardwood floors. We already have 4 built-in ceiling speakers (Yamaha, no other details) that the previous owner of our home had installed, and I just purchased a Polk CS20 center channel speaker. I'm pretty sure that we will be choosing the Yamaha RXV573 (7.1 channel, 805 watts) for our receiver. We will be using the system for movies, games, and music - but mostly for movies. I'm not at all saavy at this, and though I've been trying to read up, I still don't have the feel for "what" will go with "what", and I'm worried that I'll totally mismatch components and cause the system to malfunction. Any suggestions for a subwoofer that would work here? (I do like deep, full bass.)
Trying to limit myself to $350, and the $200 BIC is very tempting.
