I Need a small cheap (hopefully white) bookshelf speakers

Ive ordered a small system, denon RCD-N7 but it doesnt come with speakers. Its white so I would love matching white speakers; it will sit on a granite counter. I have a budget so can spend $300 anywhere or $500 at bestbuy. I know thats a tight budget but thats it frown.gif

Any ideas? i saw white m1 but guessing no bass on those? i dont want a separate sub.

thank you!

Well Amazon has these in a bundle with your Denon thing. To me they look very very over priced

Apparently they were optional speakers.

I strongly suggest you don't limit yourself to white speakers as you are making your choices very slim when $300 any color can give you a decent pair of audiophile quality speakers like the Ascend CBM-170 SE's currently on sale for $298

Any type of bookshelf speaker is going to struggle to give you bass. So might want to think about a subwoofer.

Look at Infinity Primus P163's or Polk Monitor 45b's.

Cheap and definite bass can be had with the Sony SS-B3000's

I don't post much because I'm still learning so much myself. But on another thread I was watching, there was a some 'white' Boston Acoustics A360 towers selling for $200 each, at accessories4less.. Where the black ones sell for $400 each. Seems like a good deal to me, only because I've read good things about those speakers. Maybe someone else has more info on these speakers.

Paradigm Atom and Titan speakers used to be available in white as well, though they've been out of production in that color for awhile... I suspect finding a CLEAN pair would be tough... there's one pair on eBay right now, but there are some stains on the grille.

NHT but might be a touch above budget depending on which you choose

$139/pr, that's a bargain!
Look again - they are selling for $260 a pair - $139 LESS than MSRP
post #13 of 16
Oh, you're right $139 off. Sorry.

$260/pr really isn't all that great when you can get the A250 white towers for $99 each.

All of the A series are good performers, the towers just happen to be available for a great price from A4less. If you don't actually need speakers that are going to sit on a shelf, the towers can't be beat.
