Bought a P55GT50 and returned it,,, what to get now?

Hi, I am new here, so much great info in this forum.

I got a steal on a P55GT50 ($1000), it was a display at BestBuy. Absolutely stole it. I brought it home and it would not turn on. Bad power supply. So options were to get it fixed 2-3 weeks. My wife would kill me if I bought a TV that had to get fixed right away so sadly I returned it. Even worse they didnt have anymore nor any other BestBuy in the area.

So My replacement options:

Samsung 55" ES7100 $1200
Panasonic 55" ST50 $1100 or less
Sony 55" HX750 $1200
Sony 55" NX720 $900
LG 55LM6700 $1100

I think I can still get a GT50 online for $1250 but I prefer to buy locally

They offered the VT50 for $1380 but $1200 is my max

I am not really excited about any of these options. The TV is going in a family room with lots of daylight, it will get lots of use, lots of network TV, Sports and Movies

I am looking from input from those who know these models and can weight picture quality vs value. I really dont care about 3D, Smart TV is cool but there are other ways to get streaming

Right now I am getting the ES7100 but again, meh, I am seriously considering the NX720 for $900 but is is already 2 model years old an d probably not returnable and I havent seen it in action

Do you think IR or burn in would be an issue, watching a lot of 4:3 network programming? any moreso than the GT? Has you been able to adjust the setting close to the THX Cinema/BrightRoom?

I went to look at a 55VT50, almost bought it. Come to find out one just got returned for a bad power supply. Strange that I have personally seen 2 Panasonic Plasmas return for bad power supplies in 2 days. Scared me off. I bought a Samsung LED> UN5ES7100. Very good price, I am not excited about it. The Smart TV stuff is OK but Comcast is not supporting HBOGO on Samsungs for some stupid reason, The sound is meh. Picture is OK. Over all not bad but I am missing the 60" size and the bigger speakers in my DLP. I am considering a 60" ST50 or a Samsumng 60 Plasma maybe.

I saw an open box Samsung plasma d8000 for $1300 and the e7000 will probably be phased out over the next several months. I have 30 days to decide

E7000 bring delivered today. The es7100 has been ok. Same price but e7000 is 60" do hopefully it works out
