Even though that's an LCD TV, the menu should be like our Plasma TVs. Try going into the SETUP menu and scroll down to Viera Link Settings and you should be able to turn it off.
If you're seeing ads and banners when you first turn on the TV, you can turn these off also:
Go to Setup > scroll down to Advanced Setup > select Viera Connect Banner > the change it to OFF
