Soundbar Audio Question

Thread Starter
Just picked up this sound bar.

It's connected to the TV via the ARC HDMI.

Since it's only a 2.1 system is there any benefit in connecting up the 360 and PS3 via the optical connections so the soundbar can identify DTS and Dobly Pro Logic 2?

Sure there is. How you connect your sources depends on whether your TV outputs 2 channel audio or not. Whenever possible, I like to connect sources directly to the soundbar. Yours should have an HDMI input as well. You could always connect the PS3 to the soundbar via HDMI IN and the XBox to the soundbar via optical. You would also need to connect HDMI OUT from the soundbar to the TV and an HDMI cable from the XBox to the TV.
