DIY NAS - which MoBo?

Hi,

i plan DIY NAS with Intel i3 3220T due to its low consumption and also HD graphic included in processor. I would like to know your opininions which motherboard would be the best - i am looking for MoBo with:

- as low consumption as possible,
- as much as possible SATA connections
- Intel's own LAN
- as much stuff as possible should be passive (fanless)

I will of course not install Graphic card.

Thanks for help.
Martin

I would go to the support/forum page of the NAS OS you choose to use- and look for successful recent builds. Make your short list from there...
Same with hard drives, etc... search the forum of your chosen NAS OS and look for compatible drives.

Supermicro mobo's are excellent for NAS / Servers. They've got dual Intel gigabit LAN.

I use unraid. They've got a free version where you can use 2 data drive and one parity drive. Then they have two paid version one with 6 drives, and the other with 24 drives.
