Hi all, hope this makes sense. I have the Onkyo tx-nr609 in my family room with 5.1 surround sound. I would like to set it up so that I can have 2 additional speakers in my adjacent living room so when I am streaming my Itunes music via my Apple TV (connected via HDMI) that I have the music playing in both rooms.

I think that is as simple as configuing my speaker output to be 5.1 when watching movies/TV/etc and 7.1 if I want the music to be extended to the living room?

I was reading about "Zone 2" option, but don't think it will work given that Apple TV is connected via HDMI and I don't think I can have both zones playing the same content unless it was hooked up via analog or if it is streaming net or radio.

So again I beleive my best and only option is to set the two separate speakers in the living room as the 7.1 speakers and toggle the reciever from 5.1 to 7.1 to turn on the music from Apple TV.

Correct? Or any other recommendations?
