Best way to watch MKV on TV?

Hi,

I recently picked up a LG 47LM4600 3d tv. i want to watch movies off my drive but the audio is not supported as most MKV are DTS. i can convert to AAC, but that takes time. I was wondering if there was a better way to be able to watch these on my TV?

I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. i tried streaming the PS3 from my computer but it is way too laggy. Im just trying to see if there is a quicker solution than having to convert everything to AAC.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by "most MKV files are DTS." MKV's just a container. You can put whatever audio and video you want in there. If you're creating your own MKVs, then just use an audio codec the TV will play.
Or go to our HTPC section and build a box that'll do everything. That's what I did.

Do you have a receiver/surround? If so a bluray or other player should play it and send the audio to the receiver to decode and play the audio.
