That's what I'm thinking too. Some speakers just don't look good with grills off, but these I actually really like.

The sub was a super simple build. It's basically just a 3cu ft mdf box covered with wood and stained. The subwoofer itself is a Dayton 15" HO driver. It's being powered with a crown xls 1000 - and for my needs it does well.
