The future of HDMI-CEC

Now that it has been announced that Intel will stop manufacturing motherboards, what will happen with HDMI-CEC in the HTPC sphere? Intel have made some very good HTPC-centric motherboards the last years, so it's a shame that they're pulling out. I know ASRock have a motherboard with HDMI-CEC-headers, but those are hard to get in Norway where I live. Anyone know if other manufacturers will include more HTPC options in the future?

No opinions on this? I was of course thinking of the internal HDMI-CEC solution. The external USB HDMI-CEC-adapters would obviously still work.

Fair enough. But having a low adoption rate does not mean it's not a good technology. I think it's a hidden gem, and I really hope other motherboard manufacturers will include this option in the future. I have tested it with my somewhat aging Pioneer plasma and had no problems getting it to work. Controlling XBMC with the TV remote is certainly an attractive feature.
