WIll HDMI Wall plates cause issues?

Hey guys,

I am going to run HHDMI from my projector to my receiver. It will be a 20' run.

I want to use something like this in the ceiling & wall:

http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Two-Piece-Built--Flexible-Ethernet/dp/B003R73MPI/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1359130753&sr=8-6&keywords=hdmi+wall+plate

Will having 2 HDMI wall plates between the projector and receiver cause any significant signal loss or create input lag?

Thanks

I can only say that they didn't cause any problems for me/my 720p projector.

Didn't cause any problems for me either. I used the single Monoprice wall plates. Sending 1080p to projectors (Epson 3010 & Viewsonic Pro8100). You'll be fine.smile.gif

They may or may not. With HDMI the safest bet is to run the a straight cable and use pass through wall plates. All added connections like wall plates, port savers ,etc. change capacitance and alter the signals waveform. If it alters it enough it will be a problem. Working in this business I avoid those extra connections like the plague but YMMV.

I am using pass through plates just so I do not have to wonder.

I have the one with power for the projector side and one from ebay with a 7.2 speaker set up and HDMI in a 3 gang wide setup.
