My 2500 won't stop downloading

I have a Samsung BD P-2500 which has been a solid player and never have I had an ounce of problems until recently...The player won't do anything else but stay in a "download" mode and after a few minutes the front panel shows " no disc"??? I have gone into all the internal settitngs to NO avail! Has anyone here heard of this issue or had a simular problem? I'd hate to toss this player out and get a new one only to find It's a simple fix or glitch...any and all help is HUGELY appreciated...Thanks!!! James
