To achieve the lowest input lag (PC mode trick) can I be using component cables and set the label to game mode, or do I have to use HDMI?

Also, are there any benefits to HDMI over Component 1080p? (For Xbox 360 in this case)

Finally, should I have game mode turned on even if I have the input set to PC?
