Hi Guys,

Im planning on buying the ONKYO TX-NR414 as I found it to be a pretty impressive receiver for it's price. The problem is I don't know which type of speakers I can buy. I'm planning to buy separate speakers, as I already have 2 sansui tower speakers and 2 sony surround speakers for surround. Both sets running at 8 ohms. My problem is the center and sub woofer selection.

More info on the receiver can be found here:

According to these receiver amp specifications:

Front L/R 80 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz,0.7%, 2 channels driven, FTC) 110 W + 110 W (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9%,2 channels driven, FTC)
Center 80 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz,0.7%, 2 channels driven, FTC) 110 W (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9%, 2 channels driven, FTC)
Surround L/R 80 W + 80 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.7%, 2 channels driven, FTC)110 W + 110 W (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9%,
Dynamic Power 180 W (3 ohms, 1 ch) 160 W (4 ohms, 1 ch) 100 W (8 ohms, 1 ch) THD+N (Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise)
Damping Factor 60 (Front, 1 kHz, 8 ohms)
Input Sensitivity and Impedance 200 mV/47 k-ohms (Line)
Output Level and Impedance 200 mV/2.2 k-ohms (Rec out)
Frequency Response 20 Hz-50 kHz/+1 dB, -3 dB (DSP bypass)
Tone Control ±10 dB, 50 Hz (Bass) ±10 dB, 20 kHz (Treble)
Signal-to-Noise Ratio 100 dB (Line, IHF-A)
Speaker Impedance 6 ohms–16 ohms

I understand that my current speakers are compatible since they are 8 ohms and within the wattage specifications.

Now I found this neat center speaker which is marked at 4 - 8 ohms:

First of all, does anybody suggest any better speaker than this? Second, will it be compatible with the center channel of the amp without damaging it?

I haven't looked for any sub woofers yet. Can anybody suggest a good one for this amp?

Any help would be appreciated and thanks!
