New Build Issue (Axis 15" and QSC RMX 2450) - DIY Experts Step In-side Please

Thanks for taking the time to read and help us out.

The set-up:

Receiver:
- Yammy RX-A3000
- Sub 1 out put

RCA (receiver) to XLR (amp) connection

Amp:
- QSC RMX 2450
- Mono bridged
- CH1 Clip Limiter on, 50Hz filter on, stereo off, monobridge on, CH2 filter and clip off

Amp and Sub are connected via speaker wire.

Sub Build:
- 15" TC Sounds Axis
- Sealed box ~3.5 ft3
- Wired at 4ohm

The Issue:

Connected everything together, turn on, speaker barely moves. Turn gain up on amp, speaker moves a little more, turn gain all the way up on amp and speaker moves a little more. No where near what it should be doing at 2400 watts.

Could the motor on the sub be froze up? Should I pull it, seperate the two sub halves, put them back to get her and try again.

Maybe the receiver is not putting out enough volts through the sub output. Have you tried raising the sub trim on the receiver to max?

1. Turn off the 50 Hz filter.
2. Double check your switch settings for bridged mode, make sure you are only using Gain 1, Gain 2 should be all the way down (counter-clockwise) in bridged mode.

I only used Gain 1 (Gain 2 turned all the way down). Ran it with Filter at 50, 30 and Offf Hz. Still no luck. Thanks for the help.

do the clip lights come on? when I wired a dvc sub, I mis wired a coil in reverse, and saw exactly what you see.

Googled and found how to do this step on my receiver (something called "extra bass"). Anyway, IT WORKED!!!!!! Thanks for third or fourth time for your help and thanks to everyone else that responded.

Im guessing "Extra Bass" is the same as Double Bass. This will send all low frequencies to the sub and front speakers. You want to set the main front speakers to small and the crossover to around 80hz.

Most likley with the extra bass setting the front speakers will be set to large. Not ideal.
Probably need something like a Art Cleanbox to boost the LFE signal to the amp.

I'm guessing that that routes the 2-ch music bass frequencies to the LFE/sub out, where as before it was just pure .1 surround LFE channel or somesuch.

You should be able to either clip the amp or blow the sub, anything else would be an indication of insufficient input voltage, a high pass filter or bad wiring etc etc.

Anyways, problem solved.
