Hello,
I'm currently using a Yamaha 3010 to power a PSB Synchrony One Home Theatre 7.2 system.
I also have 2 B&W ASW675 subs crossed over at 60Hz. For 2 Channel Music I use an Arcam A38 to power the Synchrony Ones
sending a full range to the speaker. For watching movies (HT duties), I use the HT bypass mode on the Arcam, and power the remaining 5 speakers with the Yamaha.
My question.....I still own a Rotel 1077 7 Channel Amplifier that is in my closet.
Is it worth trying to simply use the Yamaha as a preamp/processor and use the Rotel as the amplifier, or do you folks think that the Yamaha with 2 Subs, can power the 4 ohm PSB speakers with ease?
Thanks in advance!
