Polk Audio RC65i vs RC85i

I would definitely go with the RC85i, because its larger size will give you a greater volume of sound without distorting. You will need that in that large room.

The subwoofer has a volume control on it, so there is no reason for it to "drown out" anything. If it is too loud relative to the other speakers, you just turn it down.....

Actually, I question whether the PSW505 is powerful enough for that room.

You might need either two of them, or a more powerful sub (such as the Klipsch RW12D). If you already have one, it is easy enough to buy another one if needed.

Wow, I actually agree with commsysman

I think these Bic in-wall speakers would be far better for a room such as yours

Much higher output capability, and likely lower distortion, smoother off axis response due to the horn loaded tweeter

That is one of the strangest speaker designs I have ever seen, so I would avoid it... The horn loaded Bics are the only Bic speakers I would bother with.
