Med600x video server advice?

Hi,

I just got the med600x3d. What video server should I install on my Windows 8 64 pc? High-end build PC that I did myself, streaming wireless to the med box. Any advice appreciated. I have already installed the Shark codecs.

I'm certainly no authority on this but I only set up the folder containing my media files as shared and the med finds and streams them without issue. This is on a lower end i3 Windows 7 64 PC that I put together myself. This is wired however, never tried 1080p wireless but from what I've read good luck if that's your intent.

Never heard of Shark codecs until now but it looks like it pertains to Windows Media Center, not really sure how that pertains to streaming to the med.

I'm confused as to what do the Shark codecs have to do with Mede8er media player?

Now I know the codecs don't have anything to do with it. I was just writing up my whole setup.

Why do you need a server? Just set up a share and point the device to it.....
