Hi There,

I just bought a new LG 55LM760S ( i live in the Netherlands). I just started watching the TV a few hours ago and made some basic adjustments to get a clear picture.

Most of the time I watch TV via a satellite that I connected via a HDMI input. I was a bit let down with the picture quality. If I watch the local digital TV its fine and sharp but when I use my Dish its pretty average. A bit of a let down. I have two questions to the experienced folks out there

1. Is there anything such as a "Optimal picture setting" I could choose to get the best picture.
2. My internet is wirless and when I hook it up to the TV it's really really slow. I couldnt watch Youtube on the TV for example as the internet was just really slow and dragging. I have a basic modem and a basic membership that gives 8mb/s. Now before you all tell me this is tooo slow I can tell you I game online with this connection and its fine.

I am open for all your feedback and suggestons. Its just that I was expecting to see super sharp images and right now its pretty average.

Im also happy if you point me in the right direction if all these questions have already been answered.

You might own a SD sat receiver, in that case get yourself a HD sat receiver (SD and HD will look better). Also get yourself a blu-ray player (ps3 would be fine) in case you do not own one already <- Blu-ray and HD will look ''sharp'' on a 1080p TV, SD sat receiver and dvd player will not look ''sharp''.

Best settings you will get when you hire a pro-calibrator. Copying setting might get you a nice looking picture but not an accurate picture.

I do not know if its a full array or edge lit local dimming, either way check out the LED local dimming option

Use a calibration disc from here or other sources. And turn of all post processing.

Gaming typically doesnt take more than 500kbps up and down. It's all about sustainability.
