Upgrade from Denon 2808?

I have a Denon 2808 and a NAD M25 7 channel amp. I'm mainly looking to upgrades from XT to XT32 for the better subwoofer EQ. What would be a good upgrade from what I have now? I don't want to pay a lot for power since I already have a NAD M25. I don't seem to find a decent priced preamp with XT32. Best to wait a year or two and see what comes out?

Your best bet may be trying to find a 4311CI on clearance or perhaps a refurb at Accessories4Less.

Forgot, I also want Audyssey DSX too. I was thinking the 4311 too... In pre amp mode, does the AVR run a lot cooler? Does the 4311 use any better DAC's over the 2808?

The amps are still active in pre-amp mode and the 4311CI uses a newer DAC, although DACs are not likely going to matter, rather the upgrade to XT32 will provide the biggest improvement.

Hm, actually thinking maybe an oppo is the best route since I have a external amp. Will still need something for subwoofer eq though...
