Polk RTi A9 floorstanding speakers - What are your thoughts?

Anyone own these? Looking to get opinions and thoughts on this floorstanding speaker. If I were to get these, they would be used for music, TV and movies.

There are a few guys who hang out in the Official Polk thread who own them and are very happy with them. They can be had for a very good price at Fry's when on sale.

The RTi A9's seem to be pretty good... I was hoping to get other opinions on them. I'm stuck between these, the Klipsch FK-28's and the Energy CF-70's.

I would certainly recommend the Polks, if those 3 are your only choices in your area.

All the reviews on those Energy speakers lead me to question whether they are very good to listen too; a lot of hemming and hawing and cautions. They won't come out and just say they suck, but it's there if you read between the lines (bright....harsh...use only with "warm" electronics...etc.)

On the other hand, the PSB Image T6 speakers are some of the best speakers I have ever heard for under $2000 (with the possible exception of the KEF Q900). I very much doubt if the RTi A9 measures up to them.

The Image T6 speakers cost from $1000 to $1300 per pair, and I would assume the Polks cost about the same.

I work for a company that offers an accomodation for those speaker manufacturers. I've always wanted a good sound system (but never could afford it until now with the accomodation), so I'm basically looking to invest in a quality sound system that will be used primarily for music and movies.

The speakers I can choose are as follows:

Klipsch:: KF-28 and KF-26
Energy: CF-70, CF-50 and CF-30
Polk: RTi A9, RTi A7 and RTi A5
