I got a Yamaha Rx-497 and specs say "Built-in 2-channel power amplifier 75 W + 75 W (8 Ω)".
I currently have 2 sets of Tannoy Mercury F1, specs are " 50 to 70 W (8 Ω)".
They're connect like in the following pic:

I don't know much about audio, I tought if the speaker stated "8 Ω" it would match my amp no matter if it was 1 or 2 speaker sets but after reading some stuff not shure anymore, are they working at 8 or 4 ohms?
The amp as a impedance selector that states the following:

So as the speakers have 8 ohms I have the switch to the left. Have been using this system for some months and don't notice any problems, amp doesn't heat much (amp volume I use is about half). So anyone can clear me out if this is ok?
