Fusion Escapes - Good for Shorter Folks???

Hey Guys,

I have been talking to Roman about the Escapes. We purchased some Southern Motion Oversized loveseats and chair about a year ago. All with power recline (no cup holders though). After a year of use I hate them. They are holding up great, material, finish, padding etc. However what I never noticed in trying them at the store prior to the order and near 12 week wait, was due to our shorter size (I am 5'7" my Wife 5'4") the seat backs hit my head in a way that always pushes my head forward. Ya know, like you almost sink in to far (although that is not what is happening). If we were taller, no problem... others have sat and love them that have an inch or two more in torso length.

They are pretty standard about 40" from floor to top of seat back and about 20" from seat cushion to section of back where it starts to protrude out and push my head forward. Sure if I sit up perfectly straight (which I never do)... its O.K. but even reclining I feel it. Usually I prop a pillow behind my back in the lumbar area... which sucks for comfort. Not something I should have to do to be comfortable in $3500+ of seating.

I know body fit is VERY subjective. But does anyone of shorter size or shorter torso size have the Escapes that could comment on comfort, especially when thinking about them NOT reclined and how your head is affected. If you sit normally or with a bit of a slouch, or scrunched down, do you feel as if your head is pushed forward at all by the top/head section of the seat back?

Any and all comments would be GREATLY appreciated.

I worry about this too. I'm 5'6" and have the same problem with my livingroom sofa. Roman suggested the Jive as an alternative for this reason, but I have yet to try them so can't offer any feedback.

When you say the head reset is not in the right spot for her, can you elaborate? Is it just to high to work properly? I assume it does not force her head forward in any kind of uncomfortable position?

Thanks in advance for any info, still on the fence... I really want the options in the Escape's and want to pull the trigger, but given I am sitting in $3500 of uncomfortable furniture now.. I am a bit gun shy.

the rest is to high for her and does push her head a TINY bit, but she easily found a way to sit where it does not bother her, no other person taller then her has complained, weight could also be a factor here to heavyer people will sink in the chair more......
