Hello, I just purchased the HF R300 today from Costco for 249.00 as a bundle package, extra battery, mini hdmi, 8gb sd card and bag. They also had the Panasonic HC V500 with a bundle package for 279.00. I would like to know which will give the best quality picture for viewing on a Panasonic 65VT50 wihich is this years flagship plasma tv. It is 65" and also does 3d. I see that the Pany does 1080p but is it true 1080p? Also see that the Pany has a lot of manual options. I just want the best picture quality of the two. This camera will mainly be used indoors with ready available lighting. I am not worried about battery life on the Canon as I can just get 3rd party batteries and charger.
