Current TX 706 AVR is failing....
Obviously Onkyo has known for quite some time they have a QA issue with the HDMI
problem over various units....
It is too bad, as they are on the edge of being a really good company with some good looking and functional products. The obsolescence now we see with all of us just chucking these units and pulling our credit cards out and buying another one is so ridiculous, i am weary of it...
My TX-SR706 unit now has the infamous HDMI problem, and i will NOT be without a unit for months on end, hoping the repair shop gets a board in the next 3 months...
I guess i'm ready to jump to the Emotiva Preamp/amp combo units now that many are looking at...The price of these has dropped significantly, and with Onkyo now costing the same, I'll never make this choice again...
