I just got a new 42 inch tv for the master bedroom. It's mounted on a swivel arm, and so is generally in the upper corner of the room facing out at the center of the opposite wall (the head of the bed.) it's the most effective use of space, but it does make speaker placement somewhat interesting as a sound bar ceases to be an easy option.
So, I'm looking for advice on the best way to bump up the sound quality from the tv speakers. I'm assuming a decent 2.0 or 2.1 set, which would need to be wall mounted, but I'm not sure where then to place the speakers in this odd configuration. To the sides of the set? The side walls? Help would be appreciated, as well as recommendations for speakers, preferably under $150.
