Right now I have an Infocus X9, and it has died on me biggrin.gif So it's time for a new one.

My requirements is best bang for buck!
Full HD
Lowest operating noise possible!
Good black levels
Minimal rainbow effect
(3D isn't on the wishlist. A nice gimmick, but not something I'll pay extra for!)

The projector is mainly used at night, and I have semi control over daylight in the room.
The projector is mounted on a ceilingmount, right above the sofa.
Screen is a little larger than 100" and the PJ is mounted around 3,5meter from the screen.

The models I'm considering is: (prices are from Denmark and calculated)...
BenQ W1060 - 901$
Acer H6500 - 983$
Optoma HD230X - 990$
BenQ W1070 - 1144$
BenQ W1100 - 1169$
Optoma HD23 - 1171$

Which PJ should I choose and why??
My first thought was to gofor the W1060, as it is the cheapest... But I have read that it should have poor constrast. So I opted for the Acer H6500 or the Optoma HD230X... Which is better??
Or are the last 3 (W1070, W1100, HD23), worth considering and spending the extra money on??

Btw. Epson is not an option in FullHD as it exceeds my spending limit biggrin.gif

Benq w1070, faster color wheel and native 3D, and presumably no pixel mapping issues.

You can get the W1070 for $899 at visual apex. Newegg also has it for $899 (along with a $50 store credit)

I'M only able you buy them at the listed prices I have written. If I bought them at Newegg I would lose garanty and the price would escalate in shipping and tax cost to Denmark.

I'd spend the extra $51 for the 1070 over the Acer H6500. I think it's money well spent.

Seems like the W1070 is a winner so far.... But I'm really concerned about the noise??

Doesn't make sense that the cheap Acer 5360 is inaudible??

Is the W1070 the most quite PJ?? Or are one of the others a better option??
The noise the Infocus X9 made didn't bother me much.....

3D is still NOT something I urge!! Low noise is more important!! biggrin.gif

You can find noise level specs on those at, http://www.projectorcentral.com/Acer-H5360.htm It shows as, 32.0 dB, and eco mode as 27.0 dB. The Benq is shown as 33.0 dB, and eco mode 30.0 dB, so Benq isn't the quietest.
