I have been out of the country for 2 weeks. I get home today and go through my X1 (settings, etc.) and find that a good number of things has changed or modified. I look at my DVR to see many shows recorded (I guess a lot of shows came back this past week). The trouble is that ALL of my recordings for the past two weeks have only recorded for less than
1 minute (on average about 46 secs). I couldn't remember which episode exactly, but it did mention a conflict; but the problem I see is that many of the shows with the issue I KNOW FOR SURE have no shows that should be conflicting! Better yet, I am confident that at the time of said episodes, there weren't 3 other shows being recorded at the same time (either before or after).
Has anyone else come across this problem? my cursory search through google has not shown any -- anytime i mention 46 seconds, it really focuses/finds the 30 second skip capability -- so am I missing something?
Thanks in advanced
I believe I have found the cause/bug for my problem. As I was watching on my TV today, a popup saying that there was no more space in my DVR came up as a scheduled recording was about to come on. I confirmed this by seeing a 100% on My Recordings section. The thing is that I have set many/most of my recordings as "Space as needed" for how the show should be removed! I literally have hours and hours of shows set as "Space as needed"!!! (so there should be more than enough space) I have always done this on my past Motorola DVRs! So, what I think happens is that the dvr gets close to 100%, is about to record, it questions whether it has space, the bug hits and before it realizes that it can remove shows in the hard drive, it stops recording, and then only after it stops it will then remove the "space as needed" recording (this is proven when it shows as 83%).
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem and/or gives a good warning to users out there...
