[Had this installed yesterday (replaced three DVRs) and talk about white hot trash. Slow as molasses. Buggy. Glitchy. Laggy. The guides have a tendency to lock up. Loading a recorded program is prone to crashing the dummy terminals. One program that recorded last night only gets sound on the main box and the dummy boxes are mute for sound. I have little respect for Comcast, but I can't believe they have the stones to actually charge for this. This is a beta at best. And from my first 24 hours, more like an alpha. They should be offering this garbage to basic subscribers for free until they get the software working properly.
The joys of monopolies. High rental fees and trash hardware. I could freaking make a XBMC box for a hundred bucks that would destroy this interface (but of course, you're not allowed to use your own hardware, because then the couldn't hold you at gunpoint on the hardware).quote name="MrJitters" url="/t/1455102/official-xfinity-x1-stb-thread/1200#post_24311951"]
Sounds like signal level issues to me. Do you know if the tech checked them? he is supposed to, but..... Was it a Comcast Tech or a Comcast Contractor?[/quote]
I had a subcontractor they checked my signals ran all new lines when I got installed last week. The installer told me that they would be slow if they did not. It runs really well, not laggy at all
