For those that are impatient, there is some info on the Mitsubishi Hybrids:
http://www.aboutprojectors.com/news/2013/01/29/mitsubishi-shows-new-laservue-projectors-at-fetc-2013/

The Qumi Q7 is supposedly 800 lumens with contrast ratio 30,000:1 (they claimed 10,000:1 with the Q5 though...)

Couldn't find any info on the new Benq BP10

Thanks for the heads up Kraine, any impressions would be interesting to hear

My first impressions about the mitsubishi hybrid picture is very good, better than those from the Panasonic Hybrids that I found too soft. But the best hybrid was a real home cinema projector from a Major Brand smile.gif

What can you tell us ? Optoma...
Hmm, I doubt its the Optoma ZW212ST...1200x800 hybrid model

Digital projection are supposed to have a 1500 lumen LED projector there, can't find any details on it though.

Good to know Mitsubishi have done a decent job with their hybrids
post #15 of 74
Optoma ????eek.gif,

I would be very happy about it.

Greetings poem

Could it be... Sharp? No, I bet it's one of the 'elite' brands: Sim2, Runco, Planar, Digital Projection, Projection Design.
Congratulations Kraine, I have now looked through the entire list of press releases.. smile.gif

Well SIm2 are showing the Sirio and the Fouriserie Lumis so nothing new there.
Barco - not sure, couldn't see anything other than a LED videowall
Planar/Runco - yet more videowall stuff from Planar, nothing new that I could see from Runco
Digital Projection - no hybrids listed that I could see in any news stories
Projectiondesign - couple of new ones, including a 2:35 model, again I am sure identical to the Digital projection one shown at CEDIA. No hybrids mentioned though

OK, I give up. tongue.gif

Kraine - do you know what the Digital Projection 1500 lumen projector was?

lhi larryep, according panasonic they are available right now in Europe for 5000 euros but don't forget to had the box for all the connections (wich isn't include of course). The R serie aren't home theater projectors, Panasonic will bring a dedicated version to the market maybe next year and for a lower price.

Yes but bad news, SONY is coming out this year with 2 new models that at least for one of them was planned for coming out in middle 2013 (april/june) and now they are talking about a presentation in Berlin as every year. SONY will have 2 new models and that's all I'm allowed to say.
