Polk Monitor 40 as a center speaker or buy a ProCenter 1000?

So I currently have 2 Monitor 50s up front and 2 Monitor 30s as surrounds. I'm shopping for a center speaker, but the catch is the location for the center is only 17" wide--ruling out the CS1, CS2, CS10, Etc....
I was going to buy a ProCenter 1000 since I loved the sound so much when I listened to it at the store, but I also have easy access to a Polk monitor 40 which would fit in the opening on its side. Which of these would be the better option? Is there a problem with using a monitor 40 as a center? I know it is more similar to the other speakers in the stable, but I also really liked the ProCenter 1000...alas I haven't heard it with the rest of my setup. Suggestions? Receiver is a Pioneer VSX-1021 for what it's worth.

use the monitor 40. the procenter 1000 center will not be timber matched to your monitor 50s, where as the monitor 40 will.

However, you may have to buy a pair of M40s! I have seen them sold as singles...

Just an update with what I did. I took everyone's advice and bought am M40 from a buddy of mine who only had one to sell... (the other one met an unfortunate death at the hands of a toddler)

I'm super happy with this decision as it basically sounds exactly like the speaker it replaced and fits in the hole perfectly. I'm using a foam speaker stand to angle it up about 5 degrees and it's great. Thanks everyone.
