Just because it is the strongest does not make it "rave" worthy though. Strongest is also relative in this case to a generally weak LFE track in general so it is hardly anything to get excited about.
What does it matter which scene was louder? The Rock Giant scene was flat out lacking and unconvincing in general as far as low end support which several have commented on. The end scene I would have to think would be the more convincing of the two, but does that make it right? I would expect two Rock Giants blasting into each other and thunder crashing overhead to be one of those house crushing type LFE scenes as the scene certainly warranted that type of LFE support, but not even close.
As far as your readings go, we have already established that there are some unknowns and variables which makes your findings inconclusive at best as far as trying to establish any sort of low end proof with this mix. Your readings would strongly suggest in light of how you reported your system running at the time (-15 below reference, flat response which apparently you are now reporting might not be accurate, etc.....) to be a result of something with your system and certainly not representative of the track itself. Again, I mean no offense by that, but do you understand where I am coming from? WAY to many variables and unknowns with your tests, not to mention so many of us subjectively found otherwise (and of those, most of us are intimately familiar with what our systems response is like down low).
Also, just to be clear.........when me, Cabo, sb1, MK, etc....... make comments about this being a 7.0 track, .1 not included, etc.......obviously we are embellishing to some degree. Of course we know there is some LFE there, but the point being made is that what little LFE is there is relatively anemic in general and there are even spots where it was strangely missing almost entirely. The point is that something feels WAY off with the low end on this one for whatever reason or reasons (bad mix, missing sound elements all together, filtered to some degree, etc......).
