Need ideas for a receiver

Thread Starter
Just bought a set of Klipsch speakers for my soon to be basement home theater. I have 2 RF-7s, 2RS-7s, 1 RC-7, and 1 RSW-15. I may go 7.1 by adding 2 RB-75s if I can find them. I would appreciate any advice as to what a good receiver for around $1000 might be a good match for the speakers. I want the receiver to be able to support growth also.

I'd say Onkyo 818, Denon 3313 AND for $1300, Denon X4000. CALL AVS Sales for deals on Denon.

What do you have now?

At $1K, I would consider separates such as Outlaw and Emotiva. The UMC-200 and UPA-500 comes in under $1K. With the UPA-700, it's just a hair over and gets you 7 channels of amplification instead of 5. You could also combine a receiver like the Yamaha 820 from Newegg (has been $499 lately) with an EMO amp.

^^ Why would he need a separate amp?

He doesn't really given Klipsch are generally efficient speakers, but just providing options in the $1k range.
