My Samsung A950 55" has just developed faint colored lines runing up and down the display

My A950 just developed a bunch of colored lines that are very faint and looks like a striped cushion on my screen and a round clear spot about 4 " round. Anyone have this happen to them? Anyone know what this might be?

Had a Samsung tech come today and it needs a new panel $1,876.20 for a 4 yr old at the time Top of the line TV. $400.00 more and i can get a new almost top of the line upgraded version.
