TWC NYC 8300HD Diagnostics?

Just to finish off this thread, I took the long hike to a TWC center near me (~½ mile), told my tale of installer deceit, the guy said he'd take care of me. Gave me an 8742, which looks and sounds like IT is the latest. No more switching to component to view OnDemand, he said it has a 500G drive, USB & Ethernet (wonder what for?). Asked about adding additional HD space (not that I need it if it does have 500G) he said nothing "official" but I should do some googling (which I took to mean it isn't disabled by TWC, I recall in the past they did give out boxes that were capable, but they disabled that capability).

Now to go look for the keys to get diagnostics on this box...
