I only found out last night that TMT6 no longer support HDDVD. It just crash to desktop without any warning. I wish they will tell me "the content is not supported" so I can stop wasting my time trying.
I am a long time TMT user since TMT2. My PC came with PDVD7 BD/HDDVD player. And the only 2 players that still play back HDDVD smoothly today are TMT2 and PDVD7. Can't help thinking what would happen if my machine died one day. So sad....
Also my pc with HD6670 works flawlessly with PDVD 12 and Benq W1070 DLP 3D projector. I left both Source and Display auto detect and my projector will trigger into 3D frame pack 1080p@24Hz mode (same as normal standalone 3D bluray player) whenever I play a 3D bluray or even SBS mkv. No such luck with TMT (3/5/6). There is no auto detect and I have to pick the output type myself. Yet no one option works. I ask Arcsoft support and they only advise me to try all possible 3D options and if that failed I have to ask the projector manufacturer for help. I suspect TMT just have no support for that particular 3D display type as PDVD does. Even Stereoscopic player with output set as AMD Stereo Driver works everytime.
Another problem is mkv playback. Those works in PDVD12 simply clash TMT (all versions except TMT2). Unless something dramatic is happening, I am afraid the $10 upgrade is the last I spent on Arcsoft.
