Bostonn Acoustic Mcs95 vs Energy Take Classic 5.1

I have a small room (12x12x8'). Currently using a Denon 591BA package. Was thinking of upgrading to a Energy Take Classic 5.0 with an Energy ew100 sub ($300 total). My question is, would the Energy Take Classic Package above offer a noticeable upgrade to My current BA package?

Please don't advise me of other options, as I don't have the $$ or space at this time.

Just trying to compare the two.

Thank you in advance.

It doesn't seem as though it would be a noticeable upgrade. From what I can tell the configuration of the two systems is pretty close; you may notice some difference, but it's unlikely it would be all that significant.

Thank you for the candid response Jim. You've convinced mee to stick with what I have for now.

Keep what you got until you can get larger speakers like bookshelf's at least

The room is very small. I can't really fit larger speakers in the room. I may just upgrade the subwoofer, but with the bass shakers on each seat, it kinda makes up for a somewhat lacking sub.

Pink are front satellites on poles (in front of Kuro side speakers)
Brown is sub
Purple are surrounds on poles
Green is center channel
Bookcase near sub and left front speaker
Door at front right
Cabinet on right wall
Small cube fridge on left between small bookcase and theater seats.

I don't really have room for large fronts as they sit in front of the Pioneer Kuro Pro-111FD speakers, and larger would encroach on screen.

I may be able to put a larger sub on the left wall next to the small cube refridgerator.

I suggest you do the "subwoofer crawl" To help position your Subwoofer perfectly http://www.audioholics.com/tweaks/speaker-setup-guidelines/crawling-for-bass-subwoofer-placement

Your seats where they are might limit your bass

Why do you think the seats are limiting the bass? . I thought the sub should be in front, across from your seating position. Where ideally would you think it should be? Should I put the sub behind the seats. The bass shakers help the underperformance of my sub.

A more ledgable layout

I agree with the others, save your money. The Energy Take 5.1 system is grossly overrated in my opinion. (a friend of mine got it last month, huge let down) With the space you've laid out, I'd wait until I had the funds for the Hsu Research Value 2 5.1 package. It will fit in your space, and be a HUGE improvement.

My current front satellite speakers sit on pole stands in from of my Kuro side speakers, there is no way I'm going to be able to squeeze in 153⁄8” H x 8” W x 8”x 8” D front speakers. The room is 12' x 12', not 20' x 20'. Perhaps I need to look for a higher grade satellite speaker group.

There is no default location for a subwoofer to be, doing the subwoofer crawl will show you the best location for your subwoofer and that way you will get the best possible performance out of the subwoofer. Sometime people's location of seats might put them in a bass null, doing the subwoofer crawl will ensure you have it in the perfect location.

Do the sufwoofer crawl first. Make sure you have the subwoofer in the best location. Thats all I am saying. I made do with a smaller sub-par subwoofer in my room for alot longer than I was planning just by doing a subwoofer crawl and getting the best out of my subwoofer

Personally I would perfer a bigger subwoofer over the bass shakers, but first find the best location for your current subwoofer.
