As I said things have changed. Up until recently you were right. Its reached the point of being photo-real now but people still can't look past their old biases. Most of the time you only know something is cg because the shot is otherwise impossible. There are lots of shots these days that no one even suspects have special effects in them. And many times people will say something is cg even when its not.
Not to say that everything today looks perfect. But given enough budget, time, and talent (which we can only hope this film will have) the technology is more than adequate to deliver.
Did anyone think Iron Man, Hulk, or New York itself looked fake in The Avengers? How about Dark Trek. What looked fake there?Edited by benes - 9/6/13 at 4:31pm
