Ascend Horizon for LCR

I called Ascend about getting 3 Sierra Towers, since on the website they are only sold and pairs. The girl who answered the phone, I can't remember her name, said they can't really sell 3 because they get the cabinets in pairs so they would have one extra that they couldn't sell. She suggested doing 3 of the Horizons as LCR. I'm doing a 140" AT screen, so they will be hidden behind. She said she has another customer who did the same thing and is very happy with it. To me, it just seems like an odd thing to do. What do you guys think?

IMO...for HT use, the Horizon is actually a bit better than the Tower.

While you will lose a little in the imaging department, you gain with impact. The Horizon is incredibly dynamic.

Hi xeonicx,

After checking, yes -- we can sell you (3) Sierra Towers Much depends on the finish though and since they will be going behind your screen, I am assuming you would be interested in the black matte and (3) of these is no problem at all smile.gif

Take care!

Would you run the Horizon horizontally or vertically for an LCR application? What is it about the Horizon that makes it more dynamic and better for Home Theater?

Thanks for checking. Matte black would be perfectly fine.

I heard them in the demo room run horizontally. I don't know for sure what made them seem more dynamic, but I would guess the front porting.
