Hey everybody!
SO I know everyone on here has been asked multiple times in the past threads, but I wanted to get new opinions on what sort of driver and amp you would purchase for a 1600 sqft room?
I am a complete noob. The first sub I had built was by a friend. This time I want to give it a go. If I am unable to build a better sub than the JBL 150P or Bic F12 for under $200, I might as well just buy one of those. Sadly that is all my budget will allow me to spend. This includes the stuffing and MDF board.
All thoughts and advice are very appreciated.

starting with $200 for a DIY is a little low unless you had an amp already, in which case we could find something decent for ya. As cookie said, if we could just work with maybe $400 we would have several options!!!
I know the point you were getting across, my suggestion was purely due to the fact that with a little more saving and painful waiting, with a $400 budget the possibilities are much better that we could get a MUCH more capable sub out of it. On the other hand, get the 1260, and the 240 watt plate amp, build out a nice ported box, and then when the next $200 come around, you could build another one if you aren't happy
