I am not sure if what I am seeing is normal and if so correctable or if the TV is a concern
I have a 50U50 and watching Dish Network on a VIP222K connected via HDMI.
Watching Dr.Oz I noticed during a fitness segment that where there was movement the trainers hands and legs when moving very fast were not a blur but turned horizontally striped. I had noticed these lines on some slower moving commercials but usually those were in SD so I wrote it off as a low quality broadcast.
I have the TV set to FULL and Size 2.
After seeing an increasing amount of these lines I was guessing it was something to do with interlacing. I had the receiver set to 1080i so I changed the box to 720p but it died not change anything. I still had these horizontal lines only in areas of motion.
I do not see it all the time on any particular channels
Is this normal to see? Just another example of the poor PQ from DISH? Is there a test you know of to be sure it is not a defect in the TV?
what are these lines , why do they occur and proper settings deal with this?
