Best 60' TV for around $1500

I am in the market for a new TV. I need a plasma because the room is large and will be viewed at angles. Currently i am looking at the Samsung PN60E7000 which is priced at $1599.

It is needed for a larger room and I wont spend more than 1600. Is there a better LED, LCD or plasma with great picture that can be had for less? I am not too tied to all the Smart features. Most of that I can get in a future blu ray, roku, etc. I do like the netflix 5.1 though because of my surround sound system.

Anyway, let me know if a) this TV is currently priced right and b) is there a better deal for less? I really was looking at the Vizio e601 60' for 899 at best buy but am afraid of the off viewing angles being an issue.

Thanks all!

I bought the cheap 60E550 in August for $1297, so $1599 for a 7000 sounds like a great price? I think the 7000 was like $1800 at the time and just out of my reach? There's around 50 widgets in the Smarthub, all are available on Roku, but it's really convenient just to flip the TV over to them sometimes. The wifi is very fast for streaming... if you have a good connection. Outside of that all I can say is the usual, great picture, looks sharp, etc., etc.
