New editor is B-A-D

Ever since moving to this new software I've found the editor is really BAD! Just making text BOLD or italics can trash the test. Adding a LINK to a pre-selected text string will move it all about causing me to have to proofread for the exact error it created... Even adding a picture attachment screws the text up and you never know where in the post the attachment will interrupt the text already written.

Or am I doing something wrong?

Here's a sequence that occurred while I was editing a post:


All I did was highlight the desired text and hit the BOLD button on the editor and it screwed up the sequence of what I was BOLDING as well as rearranging th test itself! I had to edit the results before I could post. Do you see what I'm speaking about?

As I recall this is sorta what happened when trying to assign a HTML link to a highlighted text to insert hyperlinks - seems it's the editor at fault, not the BB code.

Could you try these testt and see?

Turns out there are TWO editors available in the Preferences section: BB and RTF.  The BB is the one I find doesn't work right!  In my pics, the first is virgin text.  Second is my highlighted section of text and the third is what the BB editor did, how it scrambled my text and placed the BB codes in odd places!
